2 crashes block lanes of Highway 54 southwest of Jefferson City

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it is investigating two crashes on Highway 54 near Quarry Road, an area southwest of Jefferson City.

A RAVE alert was sent out at 4:58 p.m. that stated traffic was delayed in the Highway 54/Quarry Road area because of an accident.

MSHP’s Troop F – which covers much of the Mid-Missouri area – wrote on its social media that one crash is blocking the eastbound lanes, while a second crash is blocking the westbound lanes.

By 6:05 p.m., just one lane of westbound Highway 54 remain closed.
