Tracking quiet weather before more rain chances late in the week

TODAY: Tuesday is another quiet and warm day. Temperatures should land a few degrees warmer than Monday. Highs are expected in the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies. Winds are expected from the southwest around 10-15 mph.

TONIGHT: Quiet conditions remain, with an increase in clouds overnight. This, along with continued south winds, should keep temperatures warmer overnight, in the mid-50s through the sunrise hour on Wednesday.

EXTENDED: Wednesday is nearly just as warm, but with a few added clouds. Skies are partly cloudy at most, leaving us warm and bright again. A similar day is forecast on Thursday, but highs are expected near 80 with slightly higher dewpoints. This comes alongside a chance for evening storms that may hold off until late in the evening or overnight. We continue to be leery of any big severe threat for Thursday night, as the best ingredients in the forecast center well to our west; however, an isolated strong storm may be possible late, depending on the evolution of the forecast. Another chance for showers and storms comes on Friday, with a chance for strong storms near to just south of the region; another potential that we'll be monitoring in case it's not just a near miss. Overall, it's an active forecast with at least chances for rain each day through Monday.
