Tracking a quiet start to the week

TODAY: Monday is sunny and mild, with highs forecast near 70. Winds are variable, around 5-10 mph, becoming southerly by the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the 60s through the dinner hour, and into the 50s overnight. Lows Tuesday morning are near 50 under clear skies.

EXTENDED: Tuesday is a warmer day as temperatures reach the mid-70s amid sunny skies and continued south winds. Similar temperatures are expected on Wednesday under a few extra clouds. More activity is expected the rest of the week with a pattern shift to upper-level troughing moving in from the west. Daily rain chances return Thursday night through the weekend. Temperatures may reach 80 on Thursday before a cooldown into the 60s by the weekend.
