Tracking storms and weekend frost potential

TODAY: Wednesday is an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert day. For the latest on a chance for severe storms, read our online blog. Storms are likely today, alongside south winds and partly to mostly cloudy skies. Winds are from the south southwest around 10-20 mph sustained, and may gust to 30 mph, not including potential thunderstorm wind gusts.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the 60s overnight. Storms are clearing after midnight.

EXTENDED: Thursday is mostly dry and mostly sunny. Highs will reach near 80, with sun and south winds around 5-10 mph. Some isolated afternoon storms are possible, but they are unlikely to become severe. Friday brings another severe storm setup, so we'll have another ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day. Storm timing is uncertain, but likely centers around the afternoon and evening. Rain should clear for most of Saturday, but some morning showers are possible. Saturday and Sunday are mostly dry, but Sunday starts cool, in the upper 30s. Some valleys may be at risk for frost. Monday and Tuesday bring a return to normal highs in the low 70s.
