Tracking rain exiting as cooler weather takes over for Easter

TODAY: I'm tracking moderate to heavy downpours and storms exiting throughout the morning hours as temperatures start in the mid-40s. Clouds are expected to exit throughout the day as breezy northwesterly winds at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph continue, leading to temperatures only warming up into the low to mid-50s by the afternoon hours.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking sky conditions continuing to clear throughout the evening and overnight hours as winds blow out of the northwest at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph. By the end of the night, temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30s, potentially damaging sensitive plants that are left outdoors overnight.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a sunny but cool Easter Sunday as winds blow out of the north at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph and temperatures warm into the mid to upper 50s by the afternoon hours. I'm tracking a slightly warmer day ahead on Monday, but a system Monday night into early Tuesday morning will lead to the potential for light showers and unimpactful flurries for some as temperatures get close to freezing. Tuesday afternoon, sunshine will gradually return, helping temperatures get into the mid-50s, but by Wednesday, the low 70s are back in the forecast. It's expected to be this warm throughout the rest of next week, but by the end of the week, another chance for showers and storms will arrive.
