Tracking an active forecast with daily storm chances

TODAY: Tuesday is a warm and mostly dry day. Some showers and weak thunderstorms are possible this morning, but then dry time is expected before a few showers return during the afternoon, ahead of a cold front. Temperatures will peak in the low 80s ahead of the front, despite an increase in clouds over yesterday afternoon. Winds will be breezy from the south most of the day, before switching to the north behind the cold front. Gusts could reach 30-40 mph at times.

TONIGHT: As the front passes, mostly non-severe thunderstorms will be possible through the evening and into the overnight. An isolated strong storm may be possible.

EXTENDED: The forecast looks wet the rest of the week, with tonight's cold front stalling over the region, and becoming the focus for rain chances each day through Saturday. Isolated strong storms will be possible on Wednesday and Thursday. Rain totals will stack up each day, leaving us with potential for several inches of rain across the region over the next 7 days. The forecast looks drier, but cooler for Easter Sunday. Highs are generally in the 60s and 70s Wednesday through Saturday, but in the 50s on Sunday.
