KMIZ and sister stations to air more than 30 Cards and Royals games this season

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

KMIZ-TV and its sister stations will bring Mid-Missourians more than 30 baseball games this season, showcasing the state’s big-league teams.

The combination of ABC 17, FOX 22 and MyZou 32 will air 31 regular-season games featuring the St. Louis Cardinals or Kansas City Royals. The games are part of an overall schedule of more than 45 games the stations will air from March until September.

The contests will be a mix of games produced by Major League Baseball in partnership with Gray Media, plus the station’s network-produced games. All games on the schedule will be broadcast free over the air.

The Royals kick off the stations’ broadcast season with a March 28 opening weekend matchup at Atlanta. The game will air at 6 p.m. on FOX 22 KQFX. The Royals' home opener against the Twins will air two days later on KQFX at 3 p.m.

Cardinals broadcasts begin on April 11 as the Redbirds host the Red Sox on FOX 22 KQFX.
