Hickman and Helias dominate day three of the MSHSAA state wrestling tournament
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
19 high school athletes from Mid-Missouri have secured a spot on the final day of the wrestling season.

Heading into the semifinals, Hickman sits in second place in class four as a team with 87.5 points, trailing Liberty by just a half point. In class three, Helias leads the pack with 84.5 points, 10 clear of St. Michael the Archangel in second.
Individually, both the kewpies and crusaders qualified six people into the final day of competitions. Meanwhile, Jefferson City got two boys through and one girl, making them the only team to qualify a semifinalist in both the boys and girls brackets.

The MSHSAA State Semifinals at Mizzou Arena for Class 3 Boys, Class 2 Girls and Class 4 Boys are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28 at 8:00 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. respectively. The state championship bouts will follow, later that evening at 5:45 p.m.
