Tracking a mild and mostly dry midweek with more warmth by the weekend

TODAY: Tuesday is warm and dry, despite increasing clouds overhead. Highs reach near 60, likely in the upper 50s for most. We'll be overcast, with a stout south to southwest wind around 20-25 mph. Wind gusts may reach as high as 30-40 mph by late morning through the afternoon. The air will be dry enough to create erratic fire behavior with these winds, so burning is strongly discouraged.

TONIGHT: Clouds remian overnight, while winds relax. Winds will shift along a weak cold front overnight. Temperatures fall to mid-30s.

EXTENDED: Wednesday is dry and cloudy, but some showers return overnight. Winds are light from the north, keeping highs in the mid-50s. Light rain overnight will linger into Thursday morning, but clear by afternoon hours. Highs reach the low 50s on Thursday. A notably warmer day is expected on Friday as upper-level ridging and south surface winds partner to boost highs into the 60s under sunny skies. This may repeat again Saturday, ahead of another cold front Saturday night into Sunday. This will set the stage for our next chance for precipitation. Given forecast highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s, a wave that could generate precipitation for us Sunday into Monday will have to be monitored for a wintry mix potential.
