Tracking mild temperatures and limited rain until the weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and breezy with lows in the upper 20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with lighter winds and highs in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: High pressure moves overhead tonight, allowing winds to ease by daybreak with clear skies. It will be a chilly start to Wednesday, but sunshine will help warm us to the low 50s thanks to an upper high pressure system centered to our south. We'll see more clouds on Friday ahead of a fast moving low pressure system to our north that could also bring light showers by afternoon. We'll see some lingering clouds in the wake of that on Friday as we close the week out with highs in the upper 50s as winds pick up again. Stronger low pressure moving out of the Southwest will track across Oklahoma, southern Arkansas, and northern Louisiana for the start of the weekend, potentially bringing widespread rain for areas primarily along and south of I-70. The northern extent of the low is still fairly unclear, but that will be our best opportunity for rain for awhile as high pressure begins to build to our south again through the middle of next week. Temperatures begin to rise back to the 60s from Monday through mid-late next week.
