Tracking a late week thaw with potential for more warmth ahead

TODAY: Tuesday is slightly cooler than Monday. Temperatures in the 20s early this morning will rebound into the mid-30s this afternoon. Some very patchy freezing drizzle may be possible this morning, but widespread impacts are not expected. Additionally, around 6 p.m. and later, some snow flurries will be possible. Again, no impacts are expected.

TONIGHT: Skies are partly cloudy through much of Tuesday, but become overcast tonight. Temperatures fall again into the 20s.

EXTENDED: Wednesday is another cool day, with highs once again expected in the mid-30s. A warm-up returns late-week, as Thursday's forecast brings highs into the 40s alongside peeks of sunshine through broken skies. Highs may reach the low 50s on Friday under mostly sunny skies. Milder air is expected to stick around through the weekend, with some potential to stay on the warmer side, but uncertainty is high in the temperature forecast as mid-Missouri finds itself in the middle ground between warmer air to our west and colder air to our east through the weekend and into next week.
