Tracking frigid temperatures tonight, snow sticks around all week

TONIGHT: Dangerously cold and clear with lows around 5 degrees below zero. Morning wind chills between -15 and -25.

TOMORROW: Bitterly cold in the morning with afternoon sunshine and highs in the mid-teens.

EXTENDED: The coldest air of the bitter weekend sets in tonight with arctic high pressure overhead, dropping temperatures below zero for Monday morning. Wind chills plummet to 15 to 25 degrees below zero for the morning before temperatures slightly recover in the afternoon as highs get into the mid-teens thanks to a slight southwesterly wind shift. The overall upper pattern remains cooler than normal under northwest flow, with a few disturbances that could bring clouds but we'll really be lacking moisture with this jetstream setup. Highs only reach the upper 20s on Tuesday and Wednesday before another front brings another slight cool down for the end of the week. Morning lows will drop into the single digits through the end of the week with highs in the lower 20s into the weekend.
