Tracking dangerous cold and impactful snow expected this weekend

TODAY: Partly cloudy and mild conditions are expected today. Highs near 40 returns again this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Clouds increase ahead of a cold front tonight. Temperatures drop quickly after the dinner hour, falling to single digits Friday morning.

EXTENDED: A winter storm moves in over arctic air this weekend. Friday is dry, but cloudy with with temperatures near 10°. Temperatures will be of the arctic variety over the weekend. For details on this and widespread snow chances, read our ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day Blog. Accumulating snow will impact travel for most, if not all of mid-Missouri Saturday through Sunday. Cold lingers into Monday, where highs are in the teens. Tuesday marks the first day back near freezing by the afternoon hours.
