Mizzou football adds more help in the secondary

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
With the January transfer window nearing closing, head coach Eli Drinkwitz is still loading up for 2026 .
The Tigers landed another highly touted cornerback recruit in former Oregon Duck Sione Laulea, becoming the fifth addition to the secondary.
In his time in green and yellow, Laulea picked up 10 tackles, five pass break-ups, and an interception. He joins fellow Oregon DB transfer Jahlil Florence in playing for Mizzou next season.
Before heading to Eugene, Laulea was a four star prospect coming from the College of San Mateo in 2024. He was a top 3 JuCo prospect according to 247Sports, and the No. 1 cornerback. Coach Drinkwitz has now signed five four-star players for 2026.
