Mizzou offensive tackle becomes 11th Tiger to enter transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
As transfer portal season rages on, Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz saw his 11th portal departure, on Tuesday morning.
Tiger offensive tackle Johnny Williams IV announced on his social media that he intends to test out the transfer waters, after just one season in Columbia. The Georgia native originally transferred to Mizzou in the January 2025 window, following a couple of seasons at West Virginia.
The tackle came to Mizzou and was immediately in a competition for the role of starting left tackle. However, as veteran Cayden Green took that role on for the Tigers in 2025, redshirt junior Jayven Richardson ended on the depth chart behind Green at left tackle. Meanwhile, Williams fell behind right tackle Keagen Trost.
In total, he played 52 snaps through the first three games of the season.
He will officially be in the portal once the window opens up on Jan. 2.
