Tracking a warm and dry holiday week
TODAY: Monday is warm, and mostly cloudy. Highs reach mid-50s with south wind across the region.
TONIGHT: Skies return to mostly clear conditions, while south winds keep temperatures in the low 40s.
EXTENDED: Continued south winds will keep us warm again on Tuesday. Humidity will begin to become more prominent in the forecast, leaving some spotty fog potential in areas shielded from a south breeze. Otherwise, this mostly just yields a chance for clouds on Tuesday morning into the afternoon. If fog is more persistent, we could see more clouds through midday. Temperatures with another day of south flow, will be closer to low 60s, but clouds or lake thereof could change this by a few degrees in either direction. The boundary that separates us from cooler air to our north will lift further north into Wednesday and Thursday. This likely brings more warmth, but may leave us mostly cloudy at least through Wednesday. Thursday, or Christmas Day, may bring more sunshine along with warmer temperatures. Right now, Christmas day looks the warmest as a cold front is forecast to bring a dry cooldown overnight into Friday. Friday and Saturday remain in the 60s each afternoon, but another cold front is forecast to cool us to more seasonal temperatures by Sunday.
