Mizzou women’s basketball rallies for fifth straight win
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Despite trailing by as much as 15, the Tigers completed the comeback to improve to 9-2.
Head coach Kellie Harper's ladies took down SIU Edwardsville 65-56. Through the first half of play, the Tiger women did not have a player in double digits, and were just 10-32 from the field.

However, Mizzou came out of the half on fire, outscoring the Cougars 18-9 to tie the game at 42 heading into the final frame of play. The scoring rout continued through the end of the game, with the Tigers putting up 21 points in the fourth quarter to secure their fifth consecutive win.
Jordana Reisma led the team in scoring with a 17-point, five-rebound day. The team's season leading scorers Grace Slaughter Shannon Dowwell, also notched double digit performances.
Coach Harper attributed the not-so-pretty win to a lack of energy from her team, following an emotional win over Cal in the ACC/SEC Challenge just days ago.
"I was just pulling some teeth to try to get some energy tonight and some enthusiasm," Harper said. "You know, we're coming off an emotional win, I know that can be draining, but mature, good teams can bounce back from that win or loss and be good in the next game...I might have been disappointed in our performance, but I'm not disappointed that we won. I still celebrated with our team, ran in and high-fived them all. We're gaining confidence when we win, we're gaining confidence when we play well and when we don't play well and win. I think there's something to be said there. We're learning a lot there."
Up Next - MU will continue its home stand, with a match-up against Illinois on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. and can be streamed on the SEC Network.
