Tracking a cooler Wednesday with rain returning on Thursday

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds and chilly with lows in the mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s to around 60.

EXTENDED: We can expect clouds to slowly return tonight, along with cool low temps in the mid-40s. Tomorrow will be cooler behind the front, with morning temperatures in the 40s and highs in the upper 50s. A stalled front to our south will slowly begin lifting north as low pressure slides by to our south to end the week. We'll see waves of rain beginning Thursday morning south of Highway 50, with the best shot of widespread, area-wide rain between Thursday night and Friday. We'll end the week on a chilly note with highs in the mid-50s on Friday. Rain amounts will range from about 0.5" north of I-70 to 1-1.5" south of that corridor. The weekend is looking dry and seasonable with a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid-50s to around 60. Active weather is starting to take shape early next week ahead of the Thanksgiving travel week with rain possible on Monday night into Tuesday.
