Eldon man seriously hurt after crash in Miller County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 42-year-old Eldon man was seriously hurt after a crash in Miller County around 11 p.m. Sunday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states a 19-year-old Eldon woman was driving a 2011 Ford Explorer with the man as passenger, at a high rate of speed south on Gensert Rd. at Foote Lane Rd when the car began to skid. The car skidded across the road and hit a tree head-on.

The woman suffered minor injuries, while the man suffered serious injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital, according to the report.

The report says they were wearing seatbelts. The car has extensive damage.
