No injuries reported in Moberly duplex fire

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No injuries were reported after a duplex caught fire Thursday in Moberly in the 1200 block of Shepherds Drive, according to a social media post from the Moberly Fire Department.

The fire was reported at 4:13 p.m. and firefighters responded within three minutes and found smoke and flames coming from the building, the post says.

All residents were out of the duplex when first responders arrived.

“Firefighters reported that the fire had overtaken the attic space and conducted an aggressive interior attack while searching both homes for occupants. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes and stopped before extending to the second residential unit,” the post says.
