Tracking a chilly and cloudy Saturday, freeze tonight

TODAY: Mostly cloudy and chilly, with afternoon temperatures in the upper 40s. A few spotty sprinkles are possible around sunset, but most will stay dry.

TOMORROW: Freezing in the morning in the upper 20s to lower 30s, but temperatures rebound to the low 50s in the afternoon under sunny skies.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will be chilly to start the weekend behind a cold front, and a Freeze Warning is in effect areawide as lows drop to the lower 30s and upper 20s Sunday morning. A sharp warmup will follow this freeze, with highs returning to the upper 60s by Tuesday and overnight lows warming to the 40s. Dry weather is expected for most of next week, despite a few dry fronts on Monday and Wednesday. Better rain chances may arrive later in the week, but confidence is low at this time.
