Tracking cool air, increasing clouds, and a light breeze for Halloween night
TODAY: A Frost advisory is in effect until mid-morning for the entire region. Mostly sunny skies are expected today, ahead of an increase in clouds this afternoon and evening. Temperatures with more sun and a light west breeze will climb to near 60 this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Sunset will be obscured or heavily filtered by clouds at sunset. Winds will start the evening from the west, becoming northwesterly through the evening. Winds will be sustained around 5-10 mph. Temperatures fall from mid-50s to mid-40s from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Near the lake area, to I-44 some light sprinkles may be possible around 9 p.m. to midnight.
EXTENDED: Saturday looks mostly cloudy and dry, however some spotty sprinkles will be possible as an upper level wave passes through the region. This wave is dynamic, but devoid of moisture, leaving us likely dry. There is about a 10% chance of light showers. A freeze watch is in effect for Saturday night into Sunday morning areawide. Lows are forecast near 32°. Saturday's highs are expected in the upper 40s and low 50s, but we'll be back into the mid-50s by Sunday afternoon, and we expect highs to return to the mid-60s next week.
