Tracking clouds exiting and dry weather lasting for Halloween
TODAY: I'm tracking clouds exiting through the afternoon hours as breezy northerly winds continue through the day. Winds will be out of the northwest at 15-18 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. This combined with cloud cover will only allow temperatures to warm into the low 50s by the afternoon hours.
TOMORROW: I'm tracking temperatures beginning in the mid 30s across the area, which is why a frost advisory is in effect for much of the western extent of Missouri. Temperatures will warm into the mid 50s by the afternoon hours thanks to more sunshine and northwesterly winds calming down to 8-12 mph.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking cool and dry weather continuing for Halloween on Friday as temperatures warm into the upper 50s by the afternoon hours. Clouds will gradually increase through the evening as temperatures drop back down into the upper 40s through trick-or-treating time. A cloudy weekend is expected, but little to no rainfall is anticipated at this time. By next week, a slight warmup can be expected as temperatures warm into the mid 60s during the afternoon hours.
