Mahomes’ MVP campaign continues in Chiefs’ 31-0 win over Raiders

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Kansas City Chiefs' offense continues its roll on Sunday with a 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. With the win, the team improves to 4-3, rising above the .500 mark for the first time this season. They draw level with the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC West, just a game behind the Denver Broncos in first.
Patrick Mahomes put together another impressive performance, justifying himself as the current odds favorite to win MVP, according to ESPN. He finished the game with 286 passing yards, his second-highest total of the season. This also marks the fourth consecutive game he has thrown for more than 250 yards. Along with that, he tossed three touchdown passes, for the second straight week.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice made his return to the field for the first time in more than a year. In his comeback, he caught seven passes, two of them resulting in scores. Tight end Travis Kelce led the team in receiving with 54 yards.
Despite the highly efficient offense, the defense may have been even more impressive. The Raiders were held to only 95 yards on just 30 plays. Cornerback Trent McDuffie led the team in tackles with six, and three time All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones got through for the team's only sack of the day.
Up Next - Kansas City returns to prime time when the Chiefs host the Washington Commanders for Monday Night Football on Monday, October 27 on KMIZ at 7:15 p.m.
