Columbia man, child flown to University Hospital after crash in Carroll County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 46-year-old Columbia man and 7-year-old boy from Marshall were flown to University Hospital with injuries after a minivan crashed on Highway 41 in Carroll County on Thursday afternoon, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred as the man drove a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country southbound and it went off the left side of the road and hit a bridge, the crash report says.

The man had serious injuries, while the child had moderate injuries, the report says. Both people were utilizing a safety device. The vehicle was totaled, according to the report.

MSHP reports do not name those involved in crashes.
