Vichy woman killed in head-on Maries County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 65-year-old Vichy woman was killed in a head-on crash in Maries County just before 6:15 p.m. Monday, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report states a 69-year-old Vichy man was driving a 2000 Ford F150 with the woman on U.S. 63 about a quarter mile south of Highway 68, when a 2013 Dodge Ram 3500, driven by a 35-year-old man from Rolla, crossed the center lane and hit the Ford head-on.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. The Vichy man was taken to University Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries.

The man and woman were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to the report. Both trucks were totaled.
