The Mizzou football team quite a haul of Southeastern Conference weekly honors, following an SEC-opening win over South Carolina on Saturday.

Four Tigers were named SEC Players of the Week for their performance against the Gamecocks.

Running back Ahmad Hardy is the Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his MU career. The sophomore continued his elite start in a Tiger uniform, on Saturday, as he rushed for 138 yards for an average of 6.3 yards per carry and one touchdown. Even more astounding is that fact that of his 138 yards against South Carolina, 118 came after contact.

Hardy is now just the second player in program history to register four-straight 100-yard rushing games. His 600 rushing yards on the season ranks No. 2 nationally and No. 1 in the SEC.

His right tackle Keagen Trost was named the conference's Offensive Lineman of the Week, after he played a role in helping Hardy to a dominant rushing performance in the SEC opener. Trost helped open up lanes for a total of 285 rushing yards on the night, including 76 from running back Jamal Roberts and 72 from quarterback Beau Pribula.

Trost did not allow a sack or a quarterback hit and had just one hurry on 27 pass attempts.

Defensive end Zion Young earned a Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week honor, on Monday.

He and the Tiger defense held the Gamecocks to an abysmal -9 yards rushing in the nine-point win at Faurot Field, which is the lowest rushing total the Tigers have held an SEC opponent to since joining the league. In that performance, Young tallied two tackles for loss for -14 yards and a critical sack that ended up forcing a South Carolina field goal.

Young was all over preseason All-SEC quarterback LaNorris Sellers on Saturday, as he also recorded a pair of quarterback hurries.

True freshman kicker Robert Meyer is the Co-Freshman of the Week, after a clutch performance in Saturday's victory.

Despite missing an extra point to start the game, Meyer bounced back and scored nine points while going 3-for-3 on his field goals. He connected for 22, 23 and 40 yards in his first Southeastern Conference game. His 40-yarder was the most critical one, as it ultimately sealed the game with a two-score lead for the Tigers with less than two minutes to play.

He is serving as Mizzou's starting kicker for 2025, after second-year starter Blake Craig tore his ACL in the season opener versus Central Arkansas.
