Tracking isolated storms through evening, another round of rain by Thursday

TONIGHT: Isolated to scattered showers and storms through mid-evening, partly cloudy overnight with lows in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny and hot with highs near 90. Showers and storms moving back in from the west by late afternoon or early evening.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking scattered storms that could make it as far east as Highway 63 through this evening. Most have been staying below severe limits, but could produce pea size hail and winds between 40-50 mph in some of the stronger cells. Most of these diminish after sunset, leaving us with some clouds heading into Thursday morning. Clouds could limit temperatures from getting past 90 tomorrow, but still expect a hot day before more rain and a few storms return by late tomorrow afternoon or evening. Our best shot at widespread rain will be tomorrow night into early Friday morning, with up to 0.5" possible. A cold front will push to our east on Friday, keeping a low chance for scattered showers during the day. High temperatures reach the lower 80s. We'll see more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures on Saturday as highs reach the low to mid-80s. A few showers and rumbles are possible Saturday night into Sunday, keeping temperatures in the lower 80s. The pattern looks active next week as a strong low pressure system works into the Great Lakes, keeping temperatures in the lower 80s and off and on rain chances around for much of the week.
