Tracking a slim chance at showers for few, with dry time for all the rest of the week
TODAY: Tuesday is another mild and dry day for most. A complex of storms across Nebraska this morning may have an impact for those near HWY 65 in the way of showers around noon to the early afternoon. This will likely have little impact on anyone east of Booneville. This batch of moisture may further saturate an otherwise very dry lower atmosphere locally. This could provide room for a few sprinkles in it's wake overnight. Still, no meaningful rain is expected.
TONIGHT: Clouds will linger overnight behind the wave that brings a limited rain chance to folks in the west Tuesday afternoon. This may leave those near Columbia and Jefferson City with a sprinkle or two overnight. No measurable rain is expected.
EXTENDED: The rest of the forecast is even drier, with sunshine forecast through the rest of the week and into the weekend. A few days will have partly cloudy skies, but generally it is bright with no chance at rain. Temperatures build into the 90s by Thursday, and stay there through the weekend. What comes next week is a bit of a question mark, though. Data is split fairly widely on the overall pattern of next week. With that said, odds currently favor above average temperatures lingering through next week.
