Woman seriously hurt after jet ski incident at Lake of the Ozarks Sunday night

A Lake Ozark woman was seriously hurt after being thrown from a jet ski at the 17-mile marker of the main channel at the Lake of the Ozarks in Miller County just after 7 p.m. Sunday, according to an incident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report states the woman was riding a 2008 Kawasaki PWC jet ski, driven by a 53-year-old man from Lake Ozark, when she was thrown from the jet ski.

The woman was taken to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, the report states. The man was uninjured.

The report says the woman was wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
