PREVIEW: Mizzou volleyball looks to sustain success in 2025

COLUMBIA, Mo; (KMIZ)

Ever since Mizzou volleyball coach Dawn Sullivan took the reins of the program, ahead of the 2023 season, all the Tigers know how to do is win. Year-after-year, Coach Sullivan and her players have leveled up and hope to continue that trend in 2025.

Heading into her third season in Columbia, Sullivan is coming off of Mizzou's first run to the Sweet 16 since 2017, as the leader of the Tigers has not missed an NCAA Tournament since coming to town.

"It's how they show up every day," she said. "How consistent can we be, is what's going to really allow us that space to take that next step."

However, in 2025, MU is not looking to take its foot off the gas.

"You know, we made it to the Sweet 16 last year. Now, we want to go to the Elite Eight," Sullivan said.

Over the course of the offseason, Mizzou returned quite a bit of its top talent, while also bringing on some of the top transfers available in the portal. That added depth should prove to be a game-changer for the Tigers, as they've already set some high goals.

"We would like to be back in that spot, but further it if we can," senior outside hitter Janet deMarrais said. "Maybe some Elite Eight, Final Four and maybe natty champ action."
