Cayden Green, Kevin Coleman Jr. named preseason All-SEC selections

ATLANTA, Ga. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Football had two student-athletes earn All-SEC preseason honors.
MU offensive lineman Cayden Green was recognized as a first-team All-SEC honoree in the conference's annual preseason media poll, accompanied by wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. who was a third-team All-SEC selection.
The Tigers were also predicted to finish in 12th place in the SEC standings, per the preseason media poll. Mizzou was projected to finish above Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Kentucky and Mississippi State while Texas was chosen to win the SEC crown this year.
Green, who is entering his third year of college football and his second season with the Tigers, enjoyed an impressive debut in Columbia during the 2024 campaign. The Lee's Summit native was a starter in all of Mizzou's games last season, helping the offensive line lead the SEC in time of possession (32:54). With Green at left guard, MU also allowed the fourth-least tackles for loss and seventh-least sacks per game in the league last year.
Coleman Jr. is preparing for his first season as a member of the Tigers. The St. Louis native transferred to Mizzou this offseason, following a 932-yard, six-touchdown season at Mississippi State. He was named a third-team All-SEC selection for that performance last year.
The results are based on votes from more than 200 media members, who attended SEC Media Days.
