Tracking end of week rain chances after a dry Wednesday

TODAY: Wednesday is mostly sunny with slightly lower humidity, but still plenty of warmth. Grab the sunscreen and the sunglasses, as we're back to a full day of high UV, despite a few clouds this afternoon. Winds are light and variable, but generally from the north by this afternoon. Heat indices are expected in the low 90s with true temperatures in the upper 80s.

TONIGHT: Temperatures linger near 70 with a return to south winds overnight. Skies remain clear through sunrise.

EXTENDED: Thursday is just as warm, but more humidity has us feeling like mid-90s, a little warmer than today. Partly cloudy skies are likely, with a slightly better chance for thunderstorms from mid-morning through the early afternoon. Friday is the warmest day of the week, with highs near 90 and enough humidity to feel like 100. We'll be mostly dry Friday, but storm chances return Friday night through Saturday morning. A cold front will nudge into the region, and stall on Saturday. This keeps rain chances raised on Saturday afternoon. Spotty rain chances linger Sunday through Tuesday. Temperatures hold in the 80s through the rest of the 7-day forecast.
