Blues bolster offense, add depth through NHL Draft
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KMIZ)
St. Louis has constructed its complete 2025 NHL Draft Class.
Blues general manager Doug Armstrong and his staff chose three prospects in this year's NHL Draft with a focus on the offensive side of the ice.

Despite a lack of draft capital, the Blues capitalized on their first round choice by selecting 18-year-old forward Justin Carbonneau, who established himself as a standout performer in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The Quebec native was the league's No. 2-ranked player in points (89) and goals (46) over 62 games with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada last season. The 2024-25 QMJHL All-Star tallied 168 total points (82 goals, 86 assists) over his three-year career in the league.
St. Louis only had two selections in final six rounds of the event but used those draft picks to add another forward and a goaltender to the roster.
18-year-old Mikhail Fyodorov played for Stalnye Lisy Magnitogorsk in Russia's MHL last season, compiling a team-best 43 points (17 goals, 26 assists) and earning a spot in the MHL All-Star Game. In his MHL career, the Russia native collected 71 points (28 goals, 43 assists) over 84 regular season contests.
Love Harenstam, who competed for Skelleftea AIK J20 in Sweden, held a .895 save percentage and a 10-9-0 record as the club's goalie last season. The 18-year-old, Stockholm native also won bronze and silver medals with Team Sweden at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup and 2025 U-18 World Junior Championships (WJC) respectively.
The Blues (44-30) will look to build on this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs berth in head coach Jim Montgomery's first full campaign with the franchise when the 2025-26 season arrives.
