Tiger hoops alum Caleb Grill signs deal with the Chicago Bulls

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Although former Mizzou men's basketball standout Caleb Grill didn't hear his name called in the 2025 NBA Draft, he did find a landing spot. Within an hour after the end of the draft, Mizzou Athletics announced that Grill had signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls.
The Wichita, Kansas native will stay in the Midwest, as he is the second player from Mizzou to sign a deal, following the conclusion of the NBA Draft. His former teammate Tamar Bates announced he will sign a two-way contract with the Denver Nuggets, as well.
The Bulls signed Grill quickly after the guard averaged career highs in his final season in Columbia. He averaged 13.7 points on 39.6 percent shooting from the field, while leading MU with 78 made 3-pointers and averaging 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
Grill spent two seasons at Mizzou, after transferring in from Iowa State ahead of the 2023-24 season. In his time as a Tiger, he battled through injury and plenty of adversity to be named the SEC's Sixth Man of the Year after the 2024-25 campaign.
Up next - Grill will head up to the Windy City to begin preparation for Summer League, which is set to start on July 10.
