Tracking more severe storms possible today

TODAY: Sunday is another ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for the risk of severe storms in the afternoon and evening along a cold front. While there is some uncertainty on whether storms develop at all, any storms today will be capable of 60 mph damaging winds and large hail over 1" in diameter. Temperatures reach the 80s with sunshine to start the day; storms will first form by 2 to 3 pm in our northwest counties, impacting Como and Jeff by 5 to 6 pm. More storms may continue along the front through 11 pm tonight.

TOMORROW: Sunshine returns in full swing on Monday, and highs will be a touch below average in the upper 70s. Winds from the northwest will be fairly gusty in the afternoon, up to 25 mph.

EXTENDED: Dry time continues through the middle of the week as temperatures climb back above 80 degrees, peaking in the mid-80s on Wednesday. A slow-moving system late week will introduce rain chances as early as Thursday, but it will take its time getting here. This system keeps rain around through next weekend.
