JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The MSHSAA Track & Field Championships has made its grand return to Adkins Stadium.

Missouri's best athletes from Class 1, 2 and 3 competed for state titles across 33 events, and six different Mid-Missouri natives were among those crowned state champions.

Hopkins set a new Class 3 Boys Javelin record with a 57.38-meter throw, and Roberts shattered an 18-year-old Class 2 Girls Triple Jump record with an 11.60-meter leap as a freshman.
