Tracking a wet Memorial Day Weekend with pockets of dry time

TODAY: Friday looks increasingly cloudy after a bright start under sun and a few clouds. UV index will still be very high, lending to a need for sunscreen again today if getting out. Temperatures will be similar to what we felt on Thursday, in the upper 60s to near 70. Shower chance return this afternoon, but we expect a lot of dry time. Winds will be variable.

TONIGHT: Shower chances build after the dinner hour, and may be scattered to widespread after sunset. Temperatures remain in the 50s overnight.

EXTENDED: An area of low pressure will slowly pass to our south Saturday through Monday. This will bring daily waves of rain chances. The best chances will be again Saturday evening into Sunday morning, and again Sunday evening into Monday. There will be some dry time, and the bulk of it will be during midday. Each evening as our low level winds around the are of low pressure strengthen, we will expect rain coverage to increase. We expect rain and thunder, but our location on the north side of this system will keep likely keep our severe threat south of us. Rain chances will wind down Monday, and leave us dry Tuesday through Wednesday. High temperatures are expected in the low 60s over the holiday weekend. We'll warm back into the 70s by mid-week next week.
