Tracking a wet weekend with more sun expected next week

TODAY: Friday is a chilly day, with temperatures struggling to climb out of the low 50s. Rain and thunderstorms will fill in through the day. Winds will be from the north around 5-15 mph. No severe weather is expected. We'll have a very low chance for hail with the strongest storms this afternoon and evening, but heavy rain and lightning are the most likely impacts if anything. Rain will again be greatest in the south, but all will see a chance for rain by the evening.

TONIGHT: Overnight, temperatures barely fall. We remain in the 40s, thanks to moisture and clouds.

EXTENDED: The stationary boundary to our south remains through the weekend. This keeps us cool and rainy on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures only reach low 50s during each afternoon. In fact, with cool temperatures Sunday morning, we could see snow mix in. This will not leave impacts, and will come to an end likely by the afternoon. By Monday, if not Sunday night, we are dry. This sunshine sticks through Tuesday, before more rain chances on Wednesday. High pressure that brings clearing, also brings a chance for a freeze Tuesday morning. We expect another 1-3 inches of rain for much of the region, save for folks north of HWY 24, where lesser rain is forecast.
