QUESTION OF THE DAY: Are you voting in the municipal and school district elections?

Elections that will decide the new leaders of schools and cities around Mid-Missouri are coming up on Tuesday.

The big race to watch in Columbia is the four-person mayoral race. The top two candidates, per financial reports, are incumbent Barbara Buffaloe and challenger Blair "Murph" Murphy.

The race has drawn in lots of money, lots of accusations and wound through plenty of community forums. Who each candidate serves depends on whom you ask.

But other items will appear on ballots, such as tax issues for law enforcement and fire districts and races for new school board members around the Mid-Missouri area. In Columbia, three candidates are vying for two seats on the Board of Education.
