Hallsville Primary School names new principal

HALLSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Hallsville Primary School named its new principal on Wednesday.

Chelsea Jackson will serve as the next principal starting with the 2020-2021 school year.

She is starting July 1, until then Jackson is working with primary school principal Karen Jimerson. Jimerson is retiring at the end of the current school year.

Jackson has served as the Hallsville Elementary assistant principal since 2018. A release from the school said she previously worked with Columbia Public Schools.

Hallsville Superintendent John Downs said Jackson has formed strong bonds with primary school students and staff.

"The relationships she has already formed with primary students, families, and staff will only strengthen as she transitions into this new role,” Downs said.
