City of Moberly announces boil advisory for Monday ahead of water main repairs

COLUBMIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Moberly has preemptively announced a boil advisory for residents on Monday before it begins to make repairs to water mains.

The city said in a Friday release that “large scale water main repairs” will occur on South 5th Street and the surrounding neighborhood. The repairs will require water to be shut off at South Park Elementary, prompting the Moberly School District to move students out of the building and to other elementary schools for the day.

According to the release, water will be shut off at:

  • 400-800 blocks of South 5th Street
  • 600-700 blocks of South 4th Street
  • 400-800 blocks of South Williams Street
  • 400 block of West Carpenter Street
  • 300-500 block of Gillman Street
  • 412 West Logan St.
  • 500 West Logan St.
