Water shut off, boil advisory announced in part of Moberly

Water was shut off to some residences in Moberly on Monday as emergency water main repairs were required, a press release from the city says.

A boil water advisory will be issued for residents after repairs are completed, the release says. Impacted residences include those in the 1200 block of Franklin street, 300-400 blocks of Emerson Street, 1205 West Reed St. and its surrounding areas.

The boil advisory will last 48 hours, the release says. During an advisory, water should be boiled for 3 minutes and cooled before drinking, the release says. The release says that utility customers with questions can call the water office at 660-263-4420.
