Tracking the return of cold weather
THURSDAY: Clouds look to favor our southern counties this morning as this disturbance moves to our south. Sunshine will make a return gradually but temperatures will struggle to get back to the freezing mark with steady north winds.
TONIGHT: Temperatures fall back into the teens under clear skies tonight. Wind chills may dip into the single digits our far northern counties by dawn tomorrow.
EXTENDED: After a cold start highs rebound better on Friday into the low 40's. The warming trend keeps up Saturday with sunshine sticking around getting into the low 50's. That will be the best day of the weekend to get out and enjoy with rain returning Sunday. Timing looks to have pushed back into the morning on Sunday with the greatest coverage and some of the heaviest downpours during the afternoon. Amounts look be around an inch generally by the time this system packs up and leaves. We're tracking a few disturbances for next week, keeping rain and snow chances around.
