Man charged with murder moved to Boone County Jail ahead of hearing

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia man who is charged with murder in a shooting at a Columbia White Castle last year has been moved to the Boone County Jail.
Antione Lamont Armstrong, 25, is charged with illegal gun possession, second-degree felony murder, armed criminal action and delivery of a controlled substance in the death of Louis W. Hart on May 17, 2024.
Armstrong was being held at South Central Correctional Center in Licking, according to an email from a Boone County Sheriff’s Office spokesman. Deputies moved him on Thursday and Armstrong is being held at the jail without bond.
A hearing in Armstrong’s case is set for 9 a.m. Monday, March 3 at the Boone County Courthouse.
Previous reporting and court documents say Armstrong was also shot in an exchange of gunfire. A witness allegedly told investigators that they saw Hart shoot at Armstrong after Armstrong threw a punch, court documents say. After Armstrong went down to the ground, he allegedly then shot back at Hart a few times.
Two more people were charged in relation to the shooting. Jayden McGerald, of Columbia, was charged with tampering with evidence in a felony prosecution. McGerald is accused of trying to hide Armstrong’s gun. McGerald had a hearing on Tuesday.
Lacresha Tucker, of Columbia, was charged with four counts of illegal gun possession. She has a hearing set for 10 a.m. Monday, April 21.
