Sylvan Lane murder suspect pleads guilty

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One of seven suspects in a Columbia murder case pleaded guilty on Tuesday to second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Richard L. Nole was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the armed criminal action charge and 10 years for the murder charge. Those sentences will be served at the same time, according to online court filings.

Nole was one of seven people charged in the death of Randall King II, 31.

According to court documents, Mackenzie Cox allegedly drove Elija Fiore and Anthony Neill to a residence on Sylvan Lane where a meth deal was set to occur in August 2018.

Sarah Davidson, another suspect in the case, told investigators she saw both Neill and Fiore shooting at King, according to court documents.

Police later found Nole and Davidson, who were allegedly present for the deal, at a nearby motel, and when police found Nole, he had gunshot injuries to his right hand. Nole was taken to the hospital, and while he was there, he said, “they tried to kill us,” according to court documents.

Hollie Johnson, Daria Littleton, Neill, Davidson, Cox and Fiore are all charged with second-degree murder in the case.

Johnson has a pre-trial conference scheduled for March 2, Littleton has a pre-trial conference scheduled for March 9, Neill has a pre-trial conference scheduled for Monday, Cox has a hearing on Monday and Fiore has a pre-trial conference set for Monday.

Nole was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
