COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Road conditions from this weekend’s winter storm have caused more delays and closures in Mid-Missouri.

The Jefferson City School District shared on its social media that it would have a two-hour late start on Thursday. The school district wrote that means there’s no early morning supervision. A light breakfast is available to students when they arrive.

A few area schools have called off Thursday classes, including Bunceton, Cole Camp, Gasconade County R-2, New Bloomfield, St. Elizabeth and Latham.

Schools have either had classes call off or switched to remote learning for much of this week after several inches of snow fell in Mid-Missouri over the weekend.

However, Columbia Public Schools will be in session on Thursday, the district announced in a message to parents on Wednesday afternoon.
