Tracking a big cool down by tomorrow

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy with lows in the mid-20s.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy, cold, and breezy with highs in the lower 30s.

EXTENDED: Colder air moves in from the north with a cold front tomorrow morning, bringing some morning clouds. Temperatures only top out in the low 30s on Friday, but we can expect high pressure to keep things bright and quiet for holiday travel through the weekend. Clouds start to spill in on Sunday, with a chance of showers after midnight. Rain looks to continue Monday into Christmas Eve, especially south of I-70. Lingering showers are expected to press east of Mid-Missouri on Christmas Day, but we'll be left with cloudy skies and mild temperatures with highs near 50. Another stronger low pressure system plows across the Plains late in the week, bringing the potential of more widespread rain between Friday and Saturday of next week.
