Tracking light snow tomorrow, colder few days
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold with lows in the mid-upper 20s. Few snow showers possible before daybreak.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers through about midday. Accumulation isn't expected, but there may be a dusting on the grass. Road impacts aren't likely. Highs hovering near 30 degrees.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking a disturbance that will follow along with a cold front tonight into tomorrow that brings even colder air and a chance at light snow showers through midday. Accumulation and impacts aren't expected, but there could be a light coating on the grass by lunch time. Temperatures hover around the freezing mark through the day with gusty winds up to 25 mph at times, keeping the wind chill in the teens and low 20s. Thursday morning is quite cold with lows in the teens and highs topping out in the mid-upper 30s. Winds shift on Thursday into Friday back to the south, sending temperatures back into the mid-upper 40s from Friday on into the weekend. Rain moves in with a cold front on Friday afternoon and continues through early Saturday, with any wintry weather likely staying to our north. Showers exit Saturday afternoon, leaving us with drier air on Sunday with highs in the upper 40s to near 50. A few showers will be possible on Monday, especially across southern Missouri.
