Insider Blog: A glance at snow totals from the weekend
With cold air still present, many of us still have snow on the ground despite some melting in the sun and with temperatures marginally above freezing on Sunday. Saturday night's snow is still hanging on strong in some places, especially in the shade.
Satellite shows we have clouds in place, but snow cover across the region is still estimated at 2-3 inches in some places, and after clearing off a car in Columbia last night, I can verify.
These estimates aren't always the most reliable, so let's take a look at some of the reports from CoCoRaHS, a collaborative community reporting effort.
Many along the I-70 corridor to the north and south picked up anywhere from 1-4 inches. A few 4 inch reports even came in Columbia, which would be the highest reported. Columbia Regional Airport's official report came in at 3.2".
